Outdoor sandstone paving
Squares, courtyards, paths, pool surrounds and terraces. Outdoors the criterion that matters is grip over time — and that is what Muggia sandstone offers.
Why sandstone outdoors
Muggia sandstone never becomes polished through wear: it staysslip-resistant for the whole service life of the paving, with no treatment to renew. On an outdoor surface walked every day, it is a difference you feel underfoot.
It is insoluble in water and takes frost: the CE marking laboratory values (EN 1341 / 1343:2001) give 0% variation in breaking load after 48 freeze/thaw cycles. The full technical sheet is on the The Sandstone page.

The types
Sawn paving (slabs)
The most regular, continuous surface in the range: suited to squares, arcades and walkways. Modular sizes or random lengths.
Thicknesses 1.5 · 2 · 3 · 4 · 5 · 6 · 8 cm
Setts
Split or tumbled edges (rounded arrises, aged look). The classic choice for surfaces that must take vehicle traffic.

Palladiana
Irregular pattern made of naturally shaped pieces. Available with a natural (unworked) surface or a worked surface.
Natural or worked surface
Binderi (strip setts)
Elongated pieces with two split faces, for patterned paving and as an edging line within the same laying.

Kerbs
Edging for roads, pavements and flower beds. Size and finish are chosen to suit the context.

Pedestrian or vehicular
The right thickness depends on the use. As a starting point:
